but sometimes i worry — The Crossing

but sometimes i worry by Nathaniel Parks is featured in The Month of Moderns 2, alongside the U.S. premiere of Kareem Roustom’s Hushed, performed by The Crossing.

Voices in our heads; words of St. Augustine adjacent to and aligned with Ross Sutherland, dialoguing across centuries, asking how often is saying “I love you” too often? Circles of memory, sensory, experiential thoughts calmed — “so that life might be forever like that one moment of understanding.” Hushed the images of earth, and waters, and air, hushed also the poles of heaven, yea the very soul be hushed to herself.

The Month of Moderns 2027 is supported by the New England Foundation for Psychoanalysis.
