The Book of Never

NEFP helped to fund the performance of Aaron Helgeson’s “The Book of Never” by the chamber choir The Crossing. “The Book of Never” is a choral cycle based on a wooden book of psalms from 999 A.D. believed to be written by Isaakiy, a monk, to preserve his unique liturgy that combined Paganism and Orthodox Christianity. Discovered in 2000, the text has many layers of meaning.
